1. How can I uncompress gzipped files?
To uncompress use gunzip, which is part of the standard installation in Unix systems. For Windows systems, you can get it for free from 7-zip.
2. How can I view/print postscript files?
To get a free Postscript viewer, go to FREE PS Viewer
3. How can I view/print PDF files?
To get a free PDF viewer, go to Acrobat Reader DC. If you have trouble printing a PDF file, try downloading the latest version of acrobat reader.

4. Where can I find old issues of SIGMOD Record?
All SIGMOD Record issues since September 1993 (Vol 22, No. 3) are available online as part of SIGMOD Record – Web Edition. Earlier SIGMOD Record issues (prior to September 1993) and all of the SIGMOD Conference Proceedings are available through the SIGMOD Anthology.
5. Is there an XML version of the table of contents for SIGMOD Record?
Yes! The ACM SIGMOD Record: XML Edition is available at SGIMOD Record XML Edition (the original site is at http://www.dia.uniroma3.it/Araneus/Sigmod).
6. How much does SIGMOD Record cost?
The SIGMOD Record (ISSN 0163-5808) subscription cost is included in the SIGMOD membership dues of $20.00 for ACM members, $20.00 for non-ACM members and $12.00 for students.
7. When did SIGMOD Record first appear on the web?
The web edition of the SIGMOD Record was established in September 1993. It contains the table of contents and all the articles (usually in postscript format) of each issue. In the winter of 1997, the SIGMOD Record section of the SIGMOD web server was transformed into “SIGMOD Record – web edition’.

You can join ACM and SIGMOD online, or in other ways.
